Gold for Gordon & MacPhail at the International Spirits Challenge 2017
Leading malt whisky specialist Gordon & MacPhail is celebrating gold medal success at the 2017 International Spirits Challenge (ISC) for its Rare Vintage Glen Grant 1954.
Now in its 22nd year, the ISC is billed as one of the premier events in the spirits calendar and receives more than 1,300 entries from nearly 70 countries worldwide. The competition has built its reputation on a rigorous and independent judging process with experts drawn from across the industry to blind-taste the samples over seven days.
A beautifully full bodied, after dinner dram, matured in a first fill sherry cask, Gordon & MacPhail’s Rare Vintage Glen Grant 1954 is bursting with fruity aromas and flavours. Deliciously smooth with hints of red apples and aromas of aniseed, its mild spices give way to flavours of fresh grapefruit and lemon.
David King, International Sales Director said: “Winning a gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge is an outstanding achievement and is testament to our commitment to seek out the highest quality casks and new make spirit available to create unique expressions for our consumers worldwide.”
